Sentence strips would've probably worked better, but I was out! Then we could move them around until the topics made sense together, and then we finally talked about how to make it 'look' like a paragraph by adding indents and going until the end of the line.

Jenny
Luckeyfrog's Lilypadluckeyfroghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09338266098096236978noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5297810400935419777.post-53884112303363347252012-04-25T16:11:51.354-07:002012-04-25T16:11:51.354-07:00Love this! I bet the upper elementary teachers at your school LOVE you! We work and work and our third grade STILL wonders if we have even introduced it! :)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01448548535601457006noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5297810400935419777.post-11971762844831548102012-04-24T22:12:12.517-07:002012-04-24T22:12:12.517-07:00I am all about consistency and planning and repeti...I am all about consistency and planning and repetition. Green for topic sentence, yellow for detail sentences, and red for our conclusion sentence. Once they highlight the red (or pink) they know to start a new paragraph with a new idea. Seems to work pretty well but I also have kids who struggle with paragraphs.

Second Grade Sugar and SpiceMiss DeCarbohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06076590891881907306noreply@blogger.com
