Throw Back Mother's Day Project

Last year, I did a really fun (and easy!) Mother's Day project with my kiddos. Here's the post in case you need a last minute idea! (Last year I managed to pull this together on Thursday, and the cards made it home on Friday just in time for Mother's Day on Sunday!). It's simple, but the kids really enjoyed making the cards, and the moms loved them!

Check it out!

I made a poster (two pieces of butcher paper taped together) with the words "I Love You Because":

(You can download the letters below!)

And set it up in our classroom:

Each kiddo had to finish the sentence "I love you because ______" for their moms or grandmas. They used the Big Words app on their iPads, and we took a picture...

They turned out ADORABLE!

(If you don't have an iPad, you could always have kids write on a chalk board or dry erase board!)

(I took the pictures with my iPad, then filtered them using the Camera + app.)

You can have them printed out, and make cards with the pictures for their moms!

If you'd like the "I love you because" letters, you can grab them {HERE!

Adorable Mother's (or Father's!) Day Project

A quick and easy DIY gift for Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, or even Father's Day! Printables included!

Today we worked on our Mother's Day gifts and I'm SO excited with how they turned out!!!

I made a poster (two pieces of butcher paper taped together):

They turned out ADORABLE!

I'm having them printed out, and we'll make a card with the pictures for their mom's tomorrow!

And this was just about the sweetest thing ever...

Mother's Day Funnies

This week has been CrAzY busy!!!!! Testing starts next week :-/ , we lost a whole day because of that darn lockdown (so I'm trying to cram everything in which completely stresses me out and I should learn my lesson and not try to do that anymore) and Mother's day is on Sunday!!! Who else feels like there are not enough hours in the day?!?!?!?

Here are the Mother's Day crafts we created:

They were inspired by this pin:

Source: lynxtrack.com via Sandy on Pinterest

And we did some writing about our moms. We typed it with our iPod touches, printed it out, and made it look cute on some scrapbook paper.

Here are some of my favorite lines:

"My mom hates it when the dog pees on the carpet."

"My mom's favorite place to go is the club."

"My mom loves me because I am her most specialest treasure."

And finally...

"My mom hates it when I have to go number two right before we have to leave to go to school (I went twice this morning)."

Gotta love it! Happy Almost Friday!!!!

I'm going to eat dinner now! The hubby dog BBQed my dinner tonight!!! :-) Yum!!!
