Field Trip Fun

Today was our Jump Rope for Heart!!!

If that wasn't exciting enough, and if that didn't get us enough wild crazy excited enough, we decided to throw some field trip fun into the mix.

Our school is lucky enough to be located right across from a beautiful lake. (We have the best view!!!)

So, we walked across the street to have a picnic by lake, then to the community center to see our artwork displayed at the children's art show.

This was all very fun and exciting. However, I found myself having some very interesting conversations. Here were a few:

Student: Are there sharks in the lake?
Me: Um, no friend, sharks live in the ocean, not lakes.

Student: I put two socks on one foot today.
Me: So one of your feet has two socks, and the other has no socks?
Student: Yep!
Me: ???

Student: I dropped my sandwich in the dirt.
Me: Five second rule!- Just eat it, you'll be fine.

Student: Mrs. P!!! Mrs. P!!! Mrs. P!!!! What are those people doing in that car!?!?!
Me: Um, close your eyes, look the other way! Now!
(Yikes! It was 11:30 in the morning people!)

Now, please tell me... is it just me, or do you have random conversations throughout the day too???

Have a GREAT weekend!!!

:-)

  1. How lucky are you to have school so close to the lake that you can take field trips there! Love that! Your conversations with your students were priceless. I'm a new follower!

  3. So pretty! I don't think anyone besides teachers understand the things we hear all day. So cute.

  4. My kiddies have random conversations with me all the time but I created a mailbox system that helps me divert their randomness. If they have something they want to tell me they just stick it in the mailbox on my desk ($1 from target). I will address it later when I can give it my full attention.
